17 Months!

New this month: Caleb has four new teeth coming in. Top molars and bottom lateral incisors. That brings his total number of teeth to twelve. Poor guy has been chewing and drooling a lot. I was wondering why he was waking up so much at night and now I know. Also new this month, an obsession with Mickey Mouse, or "Me-Mouse" as he calls him. He will sit or lay on the floor and watch a full episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and not move at all. You can even offer him cookies or a drink and he will tune you out until the show is over. And I did not realize it before, but Mickey Mouse is everywhere! Balloons at the grocery store, on diapers, on clothes, on cups, on advertisements. Caleb will let me know anytime he sees Mickey or "Doof" (Goofy), or "Da-old"(Donald). He has also become interested in letters and numbers and will point out the number two or the letter B or A, whenever he sees them. He usually has it correct, but sometimes he is really excited and calls every number two. And if you ask him what color something is, he always says blue. He is putting more two word phrases together such as "all done" when food is finished. He also really likes to walk around saying the names of people that he has seen lately. So he wanders the house saying "Mama and Dada, and Grammy, and Poppy, and Amma, and Papa, and Luke, and Twavis". He has learned that toys need batteries to work so when a toy is not working, even if it just needs to be turned on, he will bring it to me and say "ees batte-ies". He is also realizing that the sun can make things hot and will tell you, "its hot" when he notices. And one of the cutest things he currently does, is when he wants to be picked up he will say "hug?" and then snuggle in and hold on tight around your neck. Here are some pictures from the past month.

Yogurt face!

He often makes this face when I ask him to smile or say cheese

This was our rainy day fort, complete with star projecting light up turtle. He loves pointing out the "tars" and moon

This is what I call his "Uncle Ben" face

 Strike a pose!

Riding the go-cart at Brett's Mario themed birthday. Caleb was clearly excited to be wearing that hat!

I was nervous to drive him around.

We found the cutest little bat!

Caleb's first taste of churro dipped in ice cream. He LOVED it.

First thing in the morning. Rise and Shine!
