Halloween

Halloween was a really great day. We spent the morning putting up our Christmas tree. It was such a joyful time pulling out ornaments and listening to Christmas carols. I think it is a new tradition for years to come. Brought a little Jesus joy into the morning. I forgot to take pictures of the tree all decorated, but will have to take some later. After lunch and nap for Caleb, we got dressed up in our family Wolverine garb (t-shirts for mama and dada and a costume for Caleb) and visited the Harvest Festival at Lizzie's school. There were lots of people and Caleb was quite shy, but he managed to play a few carnival games and won some candy to satisfy mama's pregnancy craving for sweets :) We then visited a trunk-or-treat at a church down the street and called it a night. Caleb was exhausted and we were too. It was a fun time creating new memories with Caleb.

The day before Halloween, we were trying to get Caleb accustomed to his costume. He wore it outside to play some ball and I took some pictures of his throwing and hitting.

Checking out the ball

Winding up for the pitch! That face!

Step forward

And throw!

He asked for a hat and could not stop staring at his shadow. Such a cute ball player.

Silas has made his appearance! 23 weeks 3 days!

Trick or treat from the Wolverine family!

Pumpkin Patch

The weekend before Halloween, Eddie's parents came to visit for the day. We had such a great time with them. We went to lunch, a pumpkin patch, carved a pumpkin, and played ball in the yard. Here are some pictures from the day.

He loved to run into the "windows" of the pumpkins

Cute boy!

Feeding a baby pig!

He fell in love with this kitten

He just wanted to hold it the whole time and cried when we had to leave it.

We had to stop to throw rocks in the pond.

Little pumpkin!

He preferred to sit on the large ones

But not long enough to smile for a picture!

Cutie in a pumpkin!

Mid-throw to Poppy

Winding up for the pitch!

Oak Glen

We recently visited Oak Glen with the church and it was so much fun. We filled ourselves with mini apple cider donuts and fresh apple cider. Oak Glen is a 5 mile loop of ranches and orchards that we visited for the first time almost a year ago. Caleb was just learning to walk at the time. Looking at pictures from then to now, it is clear that Caleb has grown so much!

First time seeing the deer!

Just walking

Big boy feeding deer!

He loved it!

Funny face!

Family picture! Baby Silas is just starting to show himself.

Dada kisses

Loves to swing

A lot

Loves to spill bags of anything on the floor. Little rascal.

Silas Nathaniel Listander!

Announcing our precious baby boy #3! Silas Nathaniel Listander. Due February 24th, 2015. Wow. Seriously so shocked by another boy. I thought for sure this time around that we were having a girl. Not that I preferred a girl, but I was just so sick all day during the first trimester. I lost 10 pounds! And I was so sure based on timing that a girl was coming. And that made me nervous. I've become accustomed to cars, dirt, blocks, playing catch, lincoln logs, and lots of "hit the ball" (baseball). I wasn't so sure I was ready for playing princess and dolls. No need to worry any longer. I am so excited for another boy. As for why we picked the name Silas Nathaniel. As soon as we found out we were having another boy, I told Edward we needed to pick a name that day. I really like to be able to personalize the little life inside of me as soon as possible. We had a girl name picked, but no boy name. So we started throwing out ideas. We knew we wanted another biblical name and so ideas were thrown out, some serious, some not so much: "Moses he can be called Mo", "Jonah, but he ran away so maybe not", "darn those siblings of mine for picking the good ones: Micah, Luke, Benjamin" and then I said, "how about Silas?". Edward wasn't sold right away and we kept brainstorming, but then we got home and started looking at the meanings of names. I saw a few websites that claimed Silas means "third" and I said, "Look it's meant to be, our third boy!"Edward liked that and so we started thinking about a middle name. Edward mentioned Nathaniel and the meaning is "gift of God". We put the two meanings together: "third gift of God" and decided that would be the perfect name.

Waving hello at 10 weeks!

18 Weeks! Measuring 9 ounces.

The Many Things That Caleb Loves

We moved! And I got really behind in updating the blog. So for a quick catch-up, I am going to post pictures and videos from the past month or two.

Caleb loves taking pictures with Mama on her phone. He picks up Mama's phone and asks, "cheese?" when he wants to take a picture.

Caleb loves the park and play structures. He especially loves going down the slide. Unless it has been in the sun, in which case, he will sit/stand at the top and tell you "hot" and refuse to come down.

Caleb loves the hose and watering. He runs to a hose/water when it is running and wants to be in it and in control of the hose.
 Helping grandpa water the plants

Filling up his pool and loving it.

Stopping up the hose with your finger is so much fun!

Caleb loves to help Dada in the yard.

He also loves to make us laugh with his dancing. And he loves to dance to music.

He loves to smile for a cute picture

 Caleb loves books and libraries.

He loves to look at his books in the car and sometimes pretends to read them.

He loves to hug stuffed animals.

He loves to eat quesadillas.

He loves to get into mischief. Here he found the flour in the pantry.

He loves the hippos at the zoo.

He loves his stuffed panda. He sleeps with it at nap and at bedtime. And it often comes with him during the day.

 Boy meets bear...
 It's true love.

Panda playing in the yard with Caleb.

He loves to cuddle with Mama

He loves to color...

He REALLY likes to color the walls.

He LOVES donuts...

Particularly if they are as big as his head. The bigger the better.

He loves Bass Pro Shops. And when Dada teaches him to reel a fishing rod.

And pop guns are always a hit with Caleb, and Dada too.

Last but not least, Caleb loves to sing. My video for it isn't uploading, but it's a cute one. He's a sweet boy and we love him so much!
